wedding & event cancellation policy
In the event you are forced to change the date of the event or wedding every effort will be made by Gardens in the Gorge to transfer reservations to support the new date. Renter agrees that in the event of a date change any expenses including but not limited to deposits and fees that are non-refundable and non-transferable are the sole responsibility of the renter. The renter further understands that last minute changes can impact the quality of the event and that Gardens in the Gorge is not responsible for these compromises in quality.
In the event of a cancellation of a special event or wedding, all payments made to date are non-refundable and all outstanding payments will be due immediately. We understand that sometimes it is necessary to change or cancel a reservation. All cancellations or reservation changes must be made in writing. The renter is responsible for verifying that Gardens in the Gorge have received their cancellation letter. We cannot refund any advance payment for a canceled reservation unless the venue is re-rented for the entire period and prepayment has cleared. We will make every effort to re-book the venue; however, if it is not re-booked, you forfeit all monies paid. If a cancellation is successfully re-rented, all of the rent, taxes and damage/security deposit will be refunded, less a $200 cancellation fee. Renter recognize that the foregoing cancellation policy is not intended to be punitive but reflect Gardens in the Gorge foregoing actual or potential business opportunities in reserving the venue for renter and diminished ability to rent the venue.
cottage cancellation policy
Cottage rentals may be cancelled up to 48 hours in advance of expected arrival, cancellation can be made by phone. Any cancellation after 48 hours will forfeit any deposit that has been made.
